Demolition
Framing
In this instance it is important to know if you have any really heavy items that will be hung on the walls that will need extra blocking.
Look at areas like doorways to make sure you have the space for where you intend to place your light switches (EXPAND)
Rough Ins
Electrical - When it is time for your electrician to start pulling wires and installing electrical boxes for your lighting, it is really helpful know the following:
Lighting Locations
Furniture Sizes (example dining table chandelier height)
Fixture Dimensions
Space Planning Perimeters
If Art or Mirrors will be on the wall, that can effect how you space you wall sconces.
HVAC
Floor Grills/Vents -Look to make sure that they do not interfere with furniture or cabinet placement
Ceiling vents - make sure they they don’t effect where cabinetry, hood ventilation and lighting will be located.
Plumbing
Drywall, Plaster & Paint
Flooring
Floors (know heights of tile, rugs and wood) to make sure they finish at same heights
Have wood stain samples put on in advance
Cabinet & Counter Install
Drop off at site to allow to settle for a few days
Templating of counter tops. This is a sneaky on too that can hold up things, so it is awesome if you can schedule this in advance. Don’t assume once your cabinets are in that they can come right away to template, this takes time.

Appliance Install (plan on delivery in advance)
Under Cabinet Lighting

Have Grout Selected and Onsite
Know if you want unsanded, sanded
Will you be using caulking
Have all Curbs fabricated in advance. This is a big one that can hold up the project. Get the stone fabricator on site as soon as the contractor sees fit

Have all bullnose
Liners around niches
Sealers
Appliance & Fixture Install
Final Inspections
